Peder Oelsønn
(c.1590-c.1662)
Peder was most likely the son of Oelle Eidarsøn (c.1560-?). Peder's ownership of the Sandvigen farm spanned over thirty years from before 1630 to 1661, a long time compared with the other farm owners of the period. Peder probably died in c.1662 since he disappered from the records after 1661 and is not listed in the 1666 census.
Since Peder's father (Oelle) was not listed as the owner of the Sandvigen farm prior to Peder's holding, it is possible that Peder inherited the farm directly from his grand father Eidar Amundsøn (c.1540-?) while Peder's father maintained the Nedre Hemmested farm that he possibly inherited from his uncle Jakob Amundsøn (c.1540-?).
