Oelle was most likely the son of Eidar Amundsøn (c.1540-?). Despite that Oelle was listed as a owner of the Nedre Hemmestad instead of the Sandvigen farm, there was no other Oelle Eidarsøns' living in Kvæfjord at this time. It is possible that Oelle inherited the Nedre Hemmestad farm from Jakob[?] Amundsøn (c.1540-?) who possibly was his uncle (his father's brother). Nothing else is known of him.
